The Mirch Masala restaurant on Prerna Tirth Derasar Road in Prahladnagar area is located on the ground floor. It is done up in Punjabi roadside Dhaba-style complete with old pots and pans on the shelves and pictures of Bollywood stars on the walls. There is a slanting roof structure inside with red tiles on it just like the roof of a dhaba. The furniture, doors and windows are made of wood which looks years old. Even the benches in the reception area have an ancient look in keeping with its dhaba theme. The food is eaten in bell metal or Kansa metal plates and small katoris. Also, the food is served in it as Kansa metal is believed to be good for health in India. This place has good North Indian and Punjabi style vegetarian food and apart from its regular menu, it comes up with the special menu for the monsoon and winter months. The monsoon menu has dishes like 'Makai Nimbu Masala Chat', 'Mirchi Vada', 'Makai Cheese Parantha', 'Makai Jalfrezi' and 'Makai Matka Biryani'. The regular menu has both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options from good old classics to newer versions of North Indian food. For starters, you can opt for 'Murgh Tikki Amritsari' or the 'Mile Jule Kebab'. For vegetarians, there is 'Makai Cheese Kebab' and 'Shikari Mushrooms.
