This small and simple restaurant in Motera area serves Bengali and Odiya food and it has brought happiness to many persons from East India who miss their kind of food in Ahmedabad. There are very few outlets in the city serving Bengali, Odiya and Assamese cuisine. Shanti Restaurant has started filling that gap in Motera and Chandkheda area. It serves many Bengali dishes and Odiya dishes. The interiors are in a long rectangle shape with tables and chairs places on both sides along the wall. It has pink coloured walls. The wooden furniture is functional and sturdy. The food here is the main attraction. You can get Bengali starters like 'Aloo Bhaja', 'Begun Bhaja', 'Aloo Posta', 'Sukta', 'Dhokar Dalna', the famous vegetarian Bengali dish made out of gram flour cakes in a gravy.
