I always love myself a good Asian meal. Throw in some good sushi and I will be the happiest. And that is why Big Wong XL came onto the radar for me. There is a lot of good food to be had, so think portions well. Start off with some Dimsums – the 'Crystal Vegetarian' one with pepper and mushroom, the 'Corn and Waterchestnuts' and the 'Chicken with Thai Herbs' are great choices. Moving on to the sushi – again ample choices for vegetarians and meat eaters. The 'Asparagus Tempura Roll' and the 'Tunaki Roll with Radish Pickle, Cucumber and Apple' are great. The 'Spicy Salmon and the Ebi Rolls' too are good choices. Of course, there are platters that take the hassle out of making a choice and has a good mix on it. And, if soup must find its way to the table, the 'Tom Kha, as well as the 'Chicken Sake Wine Soup with sliced chicken and BokChoy' make for wonderful choices. There is a wonderful set of dishes for the main course. I especially liked the 'Cambodian Style Chicken Curry' in coconut milk with shrimp paste, lemon leaf and lemongrass. Pair this with some sticky rice and you have a great meal. There is a good range of rice and noodles – try the 'Korean Ramyun Noodles' or the 'Tonkatsu Udon Noodles'.
