Broadway is relatively new and tucked into the bylanes of HSR Layout. A mix of Japanese, Indian, Asian and Continental food, the menu has something interesting for everyone. One of the few places that import its fish and that is what makes its sushi and sashimi platters well worth it. There are quite a few varieties in the platters, including some for vegetarians, so no need to fret on that account. The 'Tomato' Tea is a soup you must seriously consider – a delicious clear tomato consommé that is poured over vegetables and crab vermicelli. The 'Spinach and Coconut Soup with Prawns' is a rich, creamy soup that warms the tummy. Crisp crackling makes this all the more delicious. The restaurant also offers pre-plated mains and the 'Spanakopita' is something you should not miss. The Teppanyaki table is a place to sit at, especially if you like some entertainment with your meal. Do ask the chef to fire up the surface… it is quite a treat for kids and adults. Desserts are limited and you must try the 'Fire and Ice' – Baked Alaska flambéed with brandy.
Do you take your food seriously? If you are a gourmet snob like us then we know you won’t settle for anything less than perfection. You should then try Broadway – The Gourmet Theatre, a lovely unpretentious eatery serving great food. Their menu is pretty exciting where you can dabble in anything from Japanese to Italian to Mexican to Thai. Ambience is good-looking but nothing fancy so your date will be simple yet gastronomically wonderful. Broadway’s rooftop seating section is lovely however. A cozy place for a date for a Special Occasion.
