Think Lemon Tree and often thoughts go straight to Republic of Noodles (and for good reason) but, I have also had some great dining experiences at Citrus Café, the all-day dining restaurant of the hotel. Bright, airy and spacious, this restaurant is a popular haunt for most corporate folks looking for buffet meals for their teams or even to have business meetings over an a la carte dining experience. The lunch and dinner buffets are quite extensive and usually sees the place packed. Not very often you get to see buffet restaurants put out dishes that do not taste like a single generic masala. Breads are brought to the table and do make it point to choose the 'Tawa Paratha'. The 'Meen Moilee' is quite spot on in terms of colour and flavour and is must have with steamed rice. The 'Prawn Curry' too is a good choice. On another visit, I ordered the a la carte and was pleasantly surprised to see that despite a full house for the lunch buffet, I still got my meal in lesser time than I thought it would take for the kitchen. We had the 'Breaded Fish And Chips' – very well done fish – crumbly, flavourful coating with moist, steaming hot fish on the inside and hand cut chips always score well with me. We also had the 'Pasta Carbonara With Bacon and Cream Sauce'. Good quality bacon was used here and again it scored well in the taste department. The restaurant also has a children’s menu that has interesting options. A nice place to stop by for those midnight hunger pangs.
