Connie’s is a lovely little space that gives you the vibe of a family run joint. And if you look at it, you will find that it is filled with young families, youngsters out for a good meal and the like. The service quite personal, as there seems to be a lot of familiarity with regular customers. You are served some thickly sliced 'Garlic Bread' while your food is being prepared. The restaurant serves up only wine and sangrias. On our visit, we were told the pizzas, though on the menu are made only at their second outlet, so that is something to keep in mind. As a family friendly place, they have kiddie portions of the dishes, which is a mighty help. You could make a start with some 'Logs of Hogs' aka 'Pork Sausages'. The 'Garlic Butter Prawns' is a good choice, as is the 'Grilled Gazpacho Salad' with vegetables. You can add take on a chicken version. Their strong point is their Steaks and they have them in a range of preparations – 'Steak Diane', 'Steak with Chasseur Sauce', 'Vegetables in Coriander Pesto', some 'Jack Daniel’s Cottage Cheese' (also available in chicken and pork). Burgers are a substantial set, with cheese and wedges. Check out the range for lamb, beef, pork and chicken. The 'Cognac Pork Ribs with Mustard Sauce' is a great meal as a sizzler. We tried the 'Cheesecake in a Jar' for dessert, but that did not really work too well. Too watery a base and too dense a cheesecake.
