It is not often that Jayanagar sees a restaurant that has a predominantly meat-based menu and a pleasant ambience to boot as well. This is of course in the mid-range budget segment that I am talking about. Curry Leaves has 2 branches and living close to this one, I am always happy to dine here or get food home delivered. The menu is massive and runs through a range of popular South Indian cuisines – Mangalorean, Kannadiga, Tamilian and Andhra and brings the best of the meat preparations to you this way. Their 'Chicken Guntur' packs a solid punch and makes a good companion to a chilled beer. Their 'Chicken Gonguras' is made with a good helping of Gongura leaves giving it that slight bitter touch, which is balanced out with a good hit of spice. Their 'Chicken Ghee Roast' is really fiery but makes a great combination with their neer dosas (again one of the few places that get it soft and right). I did not really expect too much from their 'Mutton Biryani' but it was flavourful, not overly spicy and not greasy at all. They have carrier meals that can be a lifesaver for office goers who would like to share a wholesome meal, or even for a family. Of course, the dine-in option for meals is also available. They also do Indian Chinese, which I am yet to try, but from the experiences I have had, am sure will not be disappointing.
