Grill 99 is the latest addition to the Ritz Carlton’s portfolio of restaurants on their property. Set on the rooftop of the hotel, right next to the pool, this space has a lovely ambience. You can choose to sit in the wooden slated enclosures or directly under the moonlight. Even if you are the kind who believes a soup fills you up, I suggest you don’t miss out on the Heirloom Tomato and Garlic Soup with Basil Cream. The aroma as it is poured out the tureen is amazing and the flavour profile will leave you spoilt for any future tomato soups. Each grill dish that you order comes in its own pan, with a very rustic presentation. Take the Grilled Seabass filet, with its crispy skin. It comes with grilled tomatoes on the vine, and grilled lemons along with sprigs of fresh rosemary and basil. The Tenderloin was a perfect medium like I asked for with a delicate sear on top. The Prawns in Garlic butter are another amazing grilled rendition of this seafood. Of course, if you want to be at your indulgent best, you can consider the Whole Grilled Lobster which comes thoughtfully cracked open for you.
