Pretty much any time of the day, this restaurant is packed to the gills. Located close to the shopping and market areas in the heart of South Bangalore, Kamat Bugle Rock is an old name. It focuses primarily on South Indian ‘thindi’ (snacks and breakfast dishes) along with classic South Indian meals, especially those from North Karnataka. One of the few places that serves up a mean Avalakki Bath. Make a breakfast of it along with some Basundi Poori. Come evenings and their choice of bajjis include dishes such as the seldom seen Palak bajji, mirchi and onion, all great with a filter coffee. The Aloo Bonda too is excellent, with the chilli in it sometimes being a tad bit too much. They also have a chaat counter. For a full-fledged meal, they have the entire list of popular dishes from Indian Chinese and North Indian staples as well. But do except a South Indian touch to your Dal Makhani.
