Le Meridien is known largely for being a great banqueting venue. That said, La Brasserie does not disappoint when you are looking for a quick business lunch or looking to catch up with a friend over a quality lunch in a nice ambience. While the buffets are an option, they have an interesting a la carte menu that you can go through. Try the 'Loaded Potato with corn and roasted bell peppers'. It is the 'Tomato Coulis' on the side which is really good. The 'Jalapeno Cheese Poppers' are coated with potato and cheddar and is a quite a treat. The Shrimp cocktails come prettily decked in a glass and are nice. If you are looking for complete meals at one go – the 'Pork Chops' with stewed apples and prunes is a good option. They sure do know how to do a medium rare and so the 'Fillet Steak' would be another great way to go. And you can opt for the best of both worlds with the 'Surf and Turf'. Health conscious eaters will be happy to find low-calorie options such as the 'Three Bean Vegetable Soup'; 'Beetroot and Dill Salad', and the 'Grilled Salmon with Wilted Greens'. There are several choices on the Indian menu as well – the 'Jhinga Masala' and the 'Nalli K Salan' would be my picks. And from the Chinese fare, the 'Cantonese Lemon Chicken' has my vote. All the classic desserts are available – from the 'New York Cheesecake', 'Gajar Ka Halwa' and that 'Tarte Tartin' are good bets.
