Mahesh Lunch Home in Mumbai is one of those places that brings seafood to your table and asks you to make choice. But it depends on what you ask for. It is known for its seafood and so you will see from its menu. While some of the dishes are on standard pricing, most of them are as per size and so be prepared to shell out a sizable sum for seafood that you want. The menu offers several ways in which the dishes can be prepared – Mangalorean, Malvani, Kundapur, Goan and more. You have all the standard fried versions of fish that you can expect – from naked fries to rava to masala. The same applies to the gravies available. You can begin your meal with the 'Squid Butter Pepper Garlic'. The generous bits of crispy roasted garlic is what makes this divine. The 'Clams Sukka Mangalore style' – there is a Malvani style too – has a mild touch to the spice and is brilliant to scoop and eat. You can go with a fiery 'Pomfret Curry' and 'Steamed Rice'. Or you could go with the 'Neer Dosa' and 'Chicken Ghee Roast'. Be warned, the masala base for the version here is quite spicy. If you feel the spice getting to you, the 'Sol Kadi' is a great drink to accompany it. Of course, you can choose to go with a beer like most of us would. Desserts are a basic few with 'Gulab Jamun' and 'Tender Coconut Payasam' being good choices.
