Whether you are looking for a loud evening with friends on a weekend or a quieter one on a weekday, Murphy’s Brewhouse has quite the nice setting for you to make the most of. They have around 6 beers on tap in general and you can always ask for the sampler to make a choice of which one you would like to stick with. Paddy’s Poison, the English Ale was my choice for a while. I also quite liked the Holy Sally, a Belgian Wheat Beer too. If cocktails are your thing and Amaretto is a flavour you appreciate you will quite like the Harvey Wallbanger with vodka, amaretto and orange juice. The Hot Whiskey Toddy for when you are nursing a bad throat and still need a drink anyway is a good choice. For your nibbles, you can begin with the Cheesy Mushroom, which has shrooms stuffed with brie and topped with spicy pepper sauce. You could also choose to go all Mexicana with Cowboy Nachos with Guacamole and Sour Cream with a choice of meat. Their Bacon Wrapped Prawns are quite a treat as well. They have a sizable Indian menu as well if that is the direction you generally lean in too.
Murphy's bar and restaurant is a must visit, when you are in and around EGL/Koramangala/Indiranagar... It is inside The Paul hotel offering a wide range of fresh brewed beers... Cheers!!
Many fine beers to be had here - especially as there's a frequent happy hour which means there's much more bang for your buck!!
Sorry we ever went there!! Except for the ambience, everything else was horrible!!! First off ,they have hired local guys for service, they are not even trained to answer properly, one of the staff in calling says,"what" with a serious expression!!! The others don't even bother !! They don't even come to take your order or greet you while you are in!!! Ours was a prepaid booking!! Imagine how we must have felt!! Been to small and big places, never encountered something so bad!! Speak of food ,even worse, first off ,we got the french fries we ordered after 45 minutes!! Fries ?? U take that long to make em?? And worse off instead of getting fries and chicken starters they got fries again!!! Pizza was served cold and dreary!! They didn't even bother to serve it!! Pathetic experience!! The staff did not even apologize when we raised these issues instead stood aside and was laughing!! This is when we had to call the manager!! This was heights!! Our evening was ruined coz of this horrifying experience!! Girls especially stay away from this place!! No respect for women!!
The food, the ambience, the service, the green around makes it a great place to unwind and rewind! Strongly recommend!
Woodsy interiors and an ambiance right out of the westerns…this is Murphy’s brew pub..which also has quotes on Murphy’s law wherever you turn. All things linked to Murphy actually – there is one part of the wall dedicated to the old radio – Murphy or ‘Barfi’ made famous by the unoriginal Bollywood movie. This must be the only brewery located deep inside a hotel which is located deep inside a residential area in Domlur. It’s a great option for the people working in the IT shops on the IRR. Less crowded, old world charm and decent brewed beer, the biggest plus being seclusion and the biggest negative being the indifferent service. The day we went there was Onam Sadya was on in the restaurant on ground floor and it was a great contrast to this brewery. And lunch time here was a really laid back, chill Sunday for my gang and we hung around for a couple of hours from 1 pm till the happy hour offer that starts at 4 pm and goes on until 8 pm was actually already well in progress and it started getting crowded. We started with a sampler of 4 brewed beers and ended up going with Good Golly for the most part and sometimes the Holly Sally (though it was a bit bitter for a wheat beer for us). Grilled vegetable Quesadillas with Guacamole was fresh but a bit too healthy tasting, we loved the guacamole and finished that first. The Cowboy Nachos with Guacamole and Sour Cream was delish and disappeared within seconds. The Chutneywala Paneer Tikka with mango chutney was hot and paneer juicy. For mains we had the Irish stew of lamb and vegetables with a side of herb rice and the Macaroni Cheese both were ok. Overall food was ok, we enjoyed the desserts best of all including the Baked Alaska which was a tri layer of ice cream cake topped with meringue and baked. The cold interiors of this dessert was ooh so cold and yum. The Irish bread butter pudding with the sabayon sauce was also creamy and delicious. The service was laid back and it was not alert, we had to keep calling them for the cutlery, for clearing the tables, they got the beers mixed up a couple of times and never bothered to check. The staff was courteous, just not on par with the service at the other breweries in town. But we found this place a good find to have a Sunday brunch with a gang – music was low in the afternoon with a lot of retro numbers and we could talk very comfortably without having to raise voices, unlike other breweries. Possibly more crowded on weekdays due to the corporates around, so Sundays here is really chilled out.
