The Protein GrillHouse is quite a large space for Jayanagar, which by the way, has been breaking all records with new places opening up all the time. From a cursory glance at the menu, the idea is to achieve some sort of balance between healthy and indulgent meals and the balance seems somewhat met. If you are looking for breakfast meals at lunch time, the Oats in a Bowl segment is for you. There is also a pancakes section, which will be served with a scoop of whey protein as an add-on if you so prefer. I would rather stick to the 'Peanut Butter Pancake' and keep the fruit jam that comes with it aside. Among the salads, the 'Warm Chicken Salad' and the 'Prawn and Avocado Taco Salad' are interesting. The Light Bites section has 'Avocado Toast' (though am guessing there is a seasonality factor to it), 'Herb Butter Prawns' and if you choose, the 'Grill Chicken Peri Peri Skewer'. Bowl meals are divided into lean and those that are more substantial – lean ones include a 'Garlic Chicken Broccoli Cashew Stir Fry with Rice', a 'Grilled Salmon Bowl' among others. There are no desserts at this restaurant. Among the drinks are smoothies, protein shakes, low-fat smoothies and more.
