The one thing I love about Bangalore is how it is never too difficult to find a good place to hang out, no matter which part of the city you are in. No longer is it the privilege of just the CBD to have the best places in town in to hang out at. The Secret of Bangalore that cheekily converts to SOB is such a place. The pub has a full bar attached to it and so your favourite tipple is just an order away. Coming to the food – the 'Chana Jor Garam' is definitely an old world dish that you will like, as is the 'Chowpatty Bhel' in options of meat and vegetarian. The 'Paddu with Huli Saaru' is quite the surprise on the menu. Of course, there are the usual suspects of 'Chicken Wings', 'Dahi Ke Kebab', 'Tandoori Murgh', 'Koli Vepudu', 'Meen Polichathu' and 'Kheema Pav'. Besides the delicious Indian menu on hand, there is also the international section of the menu with the likes of 'Bruschetta', 'Cheesy Fries', and 'Signature Sliders' in varying options. Heading into main courses, you have the likes of the 'Tumkur Badanekayi Masala with Hesaru Kaalu Palya' that pays tribute to Karnataka. Going into other southern regions you have the 'Dindigul Kozhi Kari', 'Karaikudi Korma', 'Kumata Neithili Masala' and so much more. What I also love about this place is that they have a kid’s menu that goes way beyond the usual mac n cheese and Margherita pizzas. The pub goes all out on desserts and you have choices like 'Nolen Gur Sandesh Cake with Lime Custard', the 'Filter Kaapi Icecream with sponge layered Mousse' and 'Tempura Paan' as well.
