Pan-Asian food has come to mean much more than the average fried rice and Manchurians that are so intrinsic what most consider an Asian meal. Now a menu has more takers when it features Dim sums, Baos, Laksas, Khao Sueys and more. Shizusan then is quite the perfect place to enjoy a great meal. Start with the steamed 'Edamame in Himalayan Pink Salt and Shichimi or the Garlic and Sriracha. Both versions are very addictive. 'Dimsums in Prawn' and 'Chives', 'Crystal Vegetables' and the 'Edamame Pouches' are gorgeous. Well done covers with just the right amount of filling. Among the sushi, the 'Classic Salmon Nigiri' is great as is the 'Rainbow Maki Rolls'. If you are in a group, then the platters will work, though they do not have mixed platters of maki and nigiri. For small appetites, the 'Hainanese Chicken Rice' is a complete dish. The 'Chicken Kaprow' goes well with the 'Hainanese Rice'. The 'Kung Pa Calamari' is a great dish too with added flavours from cashews and dry chillies. Among the desserts, try the 'Vietnamese Banh Chuoi Nuong' or in other words, the banana cake. The 'Five Spiced Crème Brulee', as well as the 'Tender Coconut Cheesecake', are great options. As for the drinks, currently, they do not have too much of a choice in beers. Among the cocktails, you can give 'GinSing' a go, with ginger and lemongrass and if you like spicy drinks, then the 'Sriracha Blush', with 'Bird’s Eye Chilli' is a good bet.
