Southindies has made quite a name for itself on the vegetarian buffet scene. You are always going to find large groups of people coming in and indulging in what is quite a good range of options. Make a start with something simple like the 'Rasam Puri' or the 'Curd Vada'. Move on to starters like the 'Urugai Paneer Skewers' as well as the 'Cheesy Adai'. Kid especially will love this last one. 'Podi tossed Idlies' are always a good bet. The main courses can be quite substantial and you can choose from options like 'Appam' or 'Idiappam with Kai Stew'. Perhaps the 'Udupi Kai Korma' with parathas or rotis are what you may like. The 'Kothmir Vonkai Masala' is rather in demand here and if they happen to have 'Tomato Saadam' on the day you visit, make sure to have some of that.
