Teppan joins the league of Japanese restaurants in the Bangalore city, each vying for the attention of a Japanese food lover. The menu is a fairly good one, with all of the classics in terms of Sushi, Sashimi, Udon and Soba Noodles and a range of grills as well. If sushi is what you are looking to start with, then the Mojacko Maki, with salmon tuna, cream cheese and some Togarashi is a good platter to start with. With 7-8 pieces of a roll in a platter, these are good to share. For something with a little flair, the Dragon Maki Roll, which has prawn as the base, is a good choice. You can choose to have Tuna, Sea bass or Salmon added to your roll. Innovative sushis are the Surf and Turf rolls, which are quite delicious. The Teppanyaki is a lovely experience with flying eggs, jugglery and even your name being written on the grill in egg. The Chicken and Egg Fried Rice is a lovely dish to have off the grill, the toasted garlic on top being the highlight. The Yaki Soba Noodles are also a good choice. Desserts are limited, but you have enough to end on a sweet note. One of the best times to visit, especially if you love sushi is during their sushi festivals helmed by their chefs from the parent restaurant in Chennai A kid-friendly place that will make it a point to entertain children so that parents can have a leisurely meal Since they have only limited seats at the Teppanyaki counter, do make sure to call earlier and make a reservation
