Here is a nice restaurant that has an international menu and really works on getting its flavours and textures right. The ambience has been loved by the menu, especially since it makes for a great date night spot – romantic candles, hanging light streamers on trees, et al. The food is homely and satisfying. Start with some 'Moroccan Roasted Pumpkin and Parmesan Soup' which is quite the hit here. There is also the creamy 'Loaded and Roasted Cauliflower with Chickpeas'. Make a meal of the soup with some salads like the 'Prawn, Mango and Rocket', with a punch coming in from the mustard and chilli oil dressing. For your starters, opt for the familiar 'Hummus and Pita', or perhaps the 'Jalapeno Tartlets'. The 'Pav Bhaji' is quite decent too. For the meat eaters, the 'BBQ Sticky Wings' are great as is the 'My Favourite Oscar Night Chili Prawns'. The restaurant does some great sushi as well – the 'Avocado Maki Roll', the 'Prawn Tempura Roll' and, of course, the 'Salmon Nigiri' is what you should try. I love bowl meals and the 'Khowseuy' is very satisfying. The 'Bhutanese Cheese and Rice Broth' – Ema Datshi, with chilli chutney is great too. There is a range of sizzlers to choose from as well in both meat and vegetable. You could also go with the 'Peppercorn Crusted Beef Steak' done to your liking, or the 'Spicy New Orleans Prawns on potatoes and with a house salad'. The restaurant does a limited dessert menu, but a good one – the 'New York Cheesecake' is one to try and the 'Lemongrass and Ginger Crème Brulee'. The Fat Chef has a nice wine menu and does some good sangrias.
