What is the first thing that comes to mind when someone says “Citrus”? A tangy flavour or perhaps a strong albeit refreshing aroma? Step inside Hotel Lemon Tree’s Citrus Cafe and you are greeted by a burst of colour and cheerful staff. It may be catering more to in-house guests or travellers but that should not stop you from exploring this cafe/restaurant if you are in the vicinity. Tucked away in Industrial Area, Citrus Cafe offers a slice of global cuisine and there are specials for midnight cravings too. The cafe has an open feel to it and there is a buffet option too. The menu even has an ‘All-time favourite’ section which offers comfort food like ‘Kathi roll’, ‘Bread Omelette’, ‘Amritsari Machli’, ‘Vegetable Pakora’ to list a few. We particularly liked the ‘Citrus Club Sandwich’ and you can opt for brown bread as well. For flavours closer to home, do try their 'Indiana Sandwich' that incorporates chicken tikka, chutney, pickled onion, lettuce and cheese. The main course offers Continental dishes as well including a good line-up of grilled fish. Leading the Indian cuisine are the curries like ‘Punjabi Fish Curry’, ‘Murg Tariwala’, ‘Malai Kofta’, ‘Chatpate Aloo’ and more. The cafe is ideal for dining with the family or if you want a quick business lunch. The service is good though pricing is a tad on the higher side. The chef’s speciality also includes ‘Tawa Masala Pulav'.
