Over the last year, Sector 26, Chandigarh’s high street when it comes to dining and clubbing, has seen a lot of change. There are many new arrivals, each of whom claims to be the best place to party and have a good meal. Among those that have opened doors recently is Nubz. The name, which when translated in Hindi, means pulse aims to be a lounge and cafe that caters to younger tastes. The ambience is modern casual and given the fact that each of these spaces are so similar looking, Nubz has designed its interiors well. There are many seating options, including open-air seating. The wooden benches might not be the most comfortable but it makes seating many on a table quite easily. A popular place for kitty parties during the day, Nubz has a rocking music scene in the evenings. As far as the food, it is a predictable line-up that includes Indian, Oriental and Continental cuisine. So you will find wok tossed veggies share space with 'Tandoori Momos'; 'Mahi Tikka Ajwaini with Prawn Tempura'...you get the drift. Choose where you sit wisely. The 'Chicken Tikka Lahsuni' starter we tried was well done but 'Amritsari Murgh Makhni' was overly creamy and sweet. There are a fair amount of vegetarian options as well. Though service was efficient, the pricing is a tad steep. There are plenty of seating options to choose from.
