When Deepak Suresh quit his job to start an ice parlour in his garage, he changed the way Chennai lusted for ice cream. Amadora has not looked back since, beating heavyweights like Haagendaaz and Movenpick to remain the city’s go-to premium ice cream parlour. The original Nungambakkam branch has cute jigsaw style seating inside and a couple os alfresco tables. The ice creams are prided for high-quality local ingredients. The '5 Bean Vanilla' is churned with Vanilla beans from 'Pollachi' and the 'Peanut Butter Choc' is made from Kottayam peanuts. My favourites being 'Madras Filter Coffee' and the 'Lemon Sorbet'.
