We find stumbling into small gastronomic discoveries the best part of our journey. There is something immensely satisfying about finding out those hidden gems that end up becoming a part of your life. Something similar happened to us while we were taking a stroll down the sleepy lanes of Anna Nagar Avenue in Chennai. We came upon a quaint little joint tucked away in S-Block on 6th Avenue which calls itself ‘Brickhouse Bistro’ or BHB as addressed by the locals. The place has a fun lively vibe that is craved by the youths. The quiet lanes of Anna Nagar becomes buzzing during evenings when the bistro is bombarded with footfall. Their clientele consists mostly of, young bar-hoppers, families, couples and tourists as well as their regulars who pop in for a burger fix frequently.

The Anna Nagar outlet of Brickhouse Bistro is quite different from its sister concern in Besant Nagar. This outlet is much more vibrant and colourful than the other outlet. To stay true to the name, the bistro features a faux brick wall in natural brick red colour. To compliment the brick wall they have painted the other walls with a cheerful yellow colour that turns the room into an attractive abode. Playing along the food theme large food related wall arts are used. Dim lighting is given because the room is pretty bright in itself. Sturdy wooden furniture is dotted around the room for you to sit in. If you are looking for some privacy then we suggest you to pick a quiet corner. It might feel a little compact but you forget your close quarters after looking through the menu. Brickhouse Bistro is casual, vibrant, colourful and economical.

Brickhouse Bistro follows an American menu that opens into lovely juicy burgers, sandwiches, silky smooth pastas and an array of lip-smacking milkshakes. We suggest you to start exploring the menu with a selection of appetizers such as, bruschetta, beef chili fries, crispy chicken nuggets, tomato & basil bruschetta, garlic bread, cheesy gooey fries, mushroom & onion bruschetta and cheesy gooey fries with sausage bits. For something more substantial pick the chicken wings which comes with numerous sauces. The main course moves on with, double dog, BHB beef burger, spicy chicken sandwich, beef steak, arrabiata red sauce, mushroom & chili burger, hot dog, double stacked tenderloin burger and corn & spinach sandwich.
