  • If you like your Chinese without the Chennaification, send a word across to the kitchen while ordering
  • The service is excellent - attentive, without being intrusive. However, their menu recommendations leave much to be desired. The greasy Crumb Fried Prawns were better suited for the sports bar next door, and our Crispy Lamb was charred to the last strand
  • For the ambience alone, Five Sen5ses could be a suave spot for a date over some decent Chinese food

Five Sen5ses continues the goofy semantics of its predecessor EEST, but thankfully raises the bar with its new decor. The sophisticated lines of black and ruby are broken up with sensible quirks; like the birdcage dining island crowned by actual pastel enclosures. Eye-catching azure skirts of stewardess’ and a wall-hugging mandarin dragon complete the makeover. However, the table could do with some of the finesse. A Pan-Asian menu, belying unabashedly Chinese environs, is a standard list of popular Asian staples earns little merit. Safest bets on the menu are the Chinese mains like the Double Cooked Pork and Dim sum.
