Gurgaon may not have many peaceful places on its radar but it does have ‘Atara Café’, which might suit your purpose beautifully. The café is housed in a 500 sq yard boutique property, The Atara in DLF Phase 1. It gives the diners a choice to get away from those overcrowded bars by indulging in an evening that is calm and destressing. This all day café is open for service 24X7 so one can drop in anytime of the day or night to take advantage of their wonderful amenities.

Atara Café doesn’t experiment a lot or branch out into various international cuisines but sticks to what it knows best. The menu is not too adventurous and dabbles in tried and tested cuisines – North Indian and Continental. Start your day with their breakfast spread that gives you the kick you need. If you happen to be visiting during the evening then begin your meal by ordering yourself an array of delectable appetizers. Try, chicken clear soup, fish fingers with tartar sauce, dahi ke kebab, chilly chicken dry, hara bhara kebab, murgh malai tikka, honey chilli potatoes and ajwaini fish tikka. Main course entails some delicious curries along with steaks and pastas. Feast on, butter garlic chargrilled fish, bhuna gosht, penne arrabiatta, matar mushroom, grilled cottage steak and paneer lababdar. Gosht nilgiri biryani is another of their superstar dish.

Atara Café doesn’t have their liquor licence yet so finish off the meal with a classic dessert, warm brownie with ice cream. The café is modest in size but what it lacks in space, it makes up for it through its vibrancy and striking interiors. This tiny restaurant is embellished with bright red walls that catches the eye instantly and surprises one with its casual yet chic décor. Atara Café is ideal spot for families and friends to relax in or even for colleagues to stop by for an after work drink. Food is presented in an arresting manner so it appeals to the eye. Atara Café is not too expensive and fits the pockets rather nicely.
