As the name suggests, Between Buns’ USP is burgers – made with freshly baked buns, a range of patties and homemade dressing. The décor borrows elements from American diners and grunge-bistros, tying it down with clean lines and generous spacing. My 'Butter-rubbed Tenderloin & Jalapeno Burger' was a classic. Richly browned juicy patty with sharp mustard, provolone cheese, jammy onions and bacon packaged between soft buns that neatly fit my mouth. The 'Pork Belly Burger' was let down by overcooked meat, its chewy sinews putting the brakes on soft brioche. A slider of mini burgers featured colourful casting - crunchy 'Fish Schnitzel between beetroot buns', 'tender Grilled Chicken between multi-grain buns' and an offputtingly gamey 'Lamb patty between brioche buns'.
