From the same team as Big Fat Sandwich in Green Park comes Big Fat Pizza. Retaining the ‘Big Fat’ vibe of easygoing millennial-chic, the compact eatery shares this sunny spot with Bombaykery and Kaffa Cerrado. There are salads, anti-pasti and homemade pasta on the menu besides Neapolitan, thin-crust and Chicago deep dish pizzas. I kicked off with a plate of 'Deep Fried Ricotta' bites with hazelnut whipped cream. The ricotta balls were rich and savory but needed a little more contrast than a dab of whipped cream and parmesan shavings. My 'Di Parma Thin Crust Pizza' had a biscuit-thin body topped with puckering marinara, mozzarella, very thinly sliced prosciutto and a bundle of rucola leaves. Much more satisfying was the 'Dynamite Chicago' deep dish. The pizza was packed with sausage slices and the intense marinara worked better with a heavier and charred crust. Desserts are courtesy Bombaykery which deserves its own review, but suffice it to say that you’re spoilt for choice with a full patisserie counter.
