The expression 'kid in a candy store' comes to mind when you visit Choko La. There is an impressive range of chocolate bonbons made with couverture (which uses cocoa butter) rather than the far cheaper compound (in which vegetable oil replaces cocoa butter as a substitute). The Khan Market outlet is a walk-in store-cum-cafe where you can sip a hot or cold chocolate, nibble on a chocolate pastry or cupcake, and enjoy a savoury sandwich, pizza or quesadilla. It has to be said though, that chocolate bars, bonbons and chocolate cakes are a specialty rather than the all-vegetarian snacks.
