Coriander Leaf at Sector 49, Sohna road, Gurgaon is a beautiful restaurant that surprises you with fabulous food set in fantastic surroundings. Smart and formal is the way to go in this restaurant. Located on busiest road in city it manages to pull the clientele with ease. The service is as expected very quick and efficient. Without delay the customer is attended with respect and handed the menu. The spicy and authentic fare eaten in contemporary ambience have made the restaurant popular with families and corporates alike. People digging Pakistani and Indian food makes it a point to come by once and try the offerings out. The rich aromatic gravies are prepared by talented chef who certainly knows what he is doing. The menu is a compact blend of both the cuisines allowing them to shine.

Menu starts with shorbas. Murg zafrani shorba and tamatar dhaniya shorba are your best bet. What follows are appetizers. Out of all try kakori kebab. But a little more experiment doesnâ€™t hurt anyone. Tandoori jheengey, Bhatti ka murg, bunda pala, kastoori kebab, burrah kebab, pathar ke kebab, dahi ke kebab and kurkure khumb will not disappoint you. The mains are as exciting as well. Balti murg, dum ki macchi, nihari, Haleem, bhuna gosht Rawalpindi, dum aloo Kashmiri, makhani dal and amritsari chole will stun you with its layers of flavours. In the biryani section do sample gosht dum biryani as it is incredibly good. Kacche gosht ki biryani is beyond anything you have tasted before so donâ€™t ignore the recommendation in this case. Pair the gravies with khameeri roti and you will not go wrong. Spices are well balanced and the gravies are explosion of flavours on your tongue.

The sweets are as surprising too as the mains. Amongst the conventional angoori rabri, gulab jamun, Kashmiri phirni and kesar pista kulfi you will be delighted to find beetroot ka halwa. Innovative and unusual, try the halwa if you feel adventurous. The beverages section offers assorted teas, coffee and Kashmiri kahwa. The regional kahwa is a hot tea infused with spices and almonds. It is very tasty. Coriander leaf is only medium expensive but not much. Under fifteen hundred you can take a friend out for dinner/lunch and impress them with a modern restaurant serving traditional food.
