  • The favourite dish at Chez Nini was the 'Duck burger so Dalmia has retained it with a few twists that make it even better
  • One of my frequent criticisms of Dalmia’s cooking has been that in her original Diva, the pasta was always better than the meat. But here, the meat cooking is truly outstanding. In particular, if you are a pork fan you will be in heaven
  • There is an upstairs area which will soon open. When I went there was no liquor license but one was expected. So if you care about drinking with your meal, call and check before you go

Ritu Dalmia’s new restaurant takes over the premises vacated by Chez Nini in Mehar Chand Market but preserves much of the original décor. The food is mostly Far Eastern but there are some nice Western touches and some of the Indian food (a fish moilee, for instance) is particularly good. A strong, solid neighbourhood restaurant with friendly service and no ambition to be much more than that.
