If you truly want to experience the culinary magic of the city then you should not give Connaught Place a miss, which is a central hub for all the trendy restaurants and pubs in the city. One of the stars of Connaught Place’s culinary galaxy is ‘Hunter’s Lodge @ JJ’. The restaurant carries an enticing name but even more fascinating décor concept. It’s perched on the third floor of Outer Circle and is renowned for its different ambience.

Hunter’s Lodge @ JJ certainly knows its food and they are serious about it too. Along with a full-fledged bar menu to complement their nibble fare, the lounge tries to give its patrons a vast multi-cuisine menu to be proud of. Indulge in their buffet spread if you like generosity in your meal otherwise stick to the a la carte for more control over your meal. Be ready to be pampered from anything between European to Pan Asian to North Indian. Begin with, noorani seekh, chili garlic dumplings, fish finger, cheesy paneer tikka cigar roll, dal chawal arancini, tawa aloo sindhi tuk and Malaysian butter prawn with crispy egg flakes. Don’t stop here! Move along to, fish n chips, murg makhani spaghetti, meat lovers pizza, penang curry, rara shikari gosht, lamb in black pepper sauce and kuti mirch ki soya chaap.

Don’t leave without sampling some of their delectable desserts. Pick anything between, moong dal halwa, parle g cheesecake with rabri, thandi kesar phirni, dessert jars, chocolate stuffed golgappas and hot gulab jamun with thandi phirni. The entire design of Hunter’s Lodge @ JJ is built to resemble a hunter’s cottage, complete with wooden log interiors and rustic natural vibe. Wide discs of wood are propped up in between the plush couches to serve as tables. Lighting is kept down low to elevate intimacy. Moss covered ceiling and vertical gardens used as windows wraps up the look at the lounge. The mood is lazy, cosy and yet exciting. Not too expensive, Hunter’s Lodge @ JJ is just the place to be for a quiet chilled out evening.
