At the far end of Cilantro is this charming outlet that has managed to remain a favourite for Japanese food. The reason is that it caters effortlessly to both sets of customers: Japanese and non-Japanese. There is an extensive sushi menu, as well as set meals and donburi or bowls of rice with a topping (usually braised or deep-fried pork or chicken). Non-Japanese customers have the time of their lives ordering plate after plate of hosomaki, futomaki and uramaki sushi, while Japanese diners busy themselves with donburi, served with pickles, miso soup and salad, rather like an executive thali!
