Housed at Trident, Udyog vihar, Konomi is a revelation in itself. You will be served authentic Japanese fare in very swanky and posh surroundings. The cool contemporary décor is the major attraction besides the food. Both genre of non-Japanese and Japanese sector finds something to delight in here. Demand for out of the box dishes keeps the chefs on their toes to make your experience at Konomi better with each visit. Their client base consists of loyal regulars showing up frequently to quench the Japanese craving. To make the evening more special you will be attended by the staff with utmost respect and friendliness.

At Konomi the management makes sure you get the best of everything. Best service, best ambience and the best quality of food. All the seafood that reaches your plate is especially flown over from the Tsukiji, most famous fish market of Tokyo. You can’t get better than that. Menu is not very long and extensive but is chosen to be kept compact with limited yet brilliant recipes. Appetizers section relates yasai salad, ebi furai (crumb fried shrimp with tartar sauce), edamame, spinach with gomae (Japanese spinach with sweet sesame dressing) and tempura, agedashi tofu (fried bean curd with daikon, soya and mirin). You will also be served Nigri (salmon/scallop/yellowtail/boiled shrimps) and sashimi (salmon/scallop/yellowtail/cuttlefish). For cold winter evenings the chef prepares hot soup of zaru soba, clear soup and miso. Otherwise go for some delectable chef’s signature rolls like, tempura maki, California maki, spicy yellow fin tuna, tanuki salmon and spicy salmon.

The platters are a good option to try if you are a party of more than two. You will be able to taste various things on one platter. For more filling portion try out the set meals or teppanyaki or teriyaki. Donburi is served with salad, miso soup and pickles. The oyakodon, ebidon, yasai itame, tori and gyu fulfil the teriyaki and donburi section. Have some traditional rice or noodles such as, stir fried vegetable noodles, yaki meshi and shrimp and vegetable fried rice will be the highlight of your day.
