Entering ‘Market Café’ will make you feel of arriving at a beautiful home with lots of comfortable chairs. The inside of the café is casual and airy. Its posh location, GK-2, New Delhi, certainly helps. Decent smart looking tables awaits the customers to be seated and they are good but the plush sofas get the most attention. You will find the sofas always occupied by group of youngsters chatting and catching up. Best seats in the house are the one next to the picture windows. The view you will get from them is incredible. Colour combination of purple and off white lends a Mediterranean feel to the café. Sheer white curtains gently swinging with breeze can confuse you into thinking of being at a beach house. I simply adore the openness of the ambience. Some customers slip on the terrace for smoke breaks. You will find customers even at 9 am busy on the laptops here. It’s that peaceful.

Market Café is popular in the neighbourhood for serving awesome breakfast. The menu is casual eclectic so it branches into various things. There is something for everybody. Like everyone else start with breakfast. Greek/Spanish omelette, parsi akuri, breakfast burrito, pancakes, waffles, sweet potato rosti, eggs and stuffed parantha. Munchies involves nachos, tacos, skewers, chilli potato, chicken wings, Turkish lamb kebabs, caprese salad, minestrone soup, golden fried prawns, Mexican corn & bean salad and mezze platter. Pizzas, pastas, sandwiches, wraps and burgers are the substantial part of the menu. The mains are delicious and varied. Fish n chips, chicken parmesan, goan curry, grilled cottage cheese steak, Moroccan tagine, grilled basa fillet, thai green curry, enchilada verde, market café khao suey, BC biryani and fajita Mexicana form the Market Café’s mains section. Improve the meal by adding some fancy sides too.

Dessert menu may not be long but holds classics like molten chocolate cake, brownie swizzle, Philadelphia cheesecake, granny apple pie and gooey chocolate explosion.
