On the other side of a courtyard, Prego is set in a smaller building with full glass doors and windows. Inside, the open kitchen and shelves that groan with artisanal pasta in glass jars gives the restaurant the look of a trattorio somewhere in Italy. The menu has its share of vegetarian dishes, but is about authentic flavours. Do try the Tagliolini with Black Truffles and Parmesan or the Fritto Misto with Seafood. Usually, the restaurant has a cheerful buzz with diners that include corporates from overseas, local families and couples who like to dine out in the dimly lit courtyard.
Visited this place with high expectations. While the service was upto the mark ...which is expected from a group like Westin but wasn't very impressed with the food. We initially ordered bruschetta & ravioli and decided not to order anything else after tasting them. This place is overrated may be coz of the outdoor sitting which is perfect in winters....specially for couples.
If you think dining at a five star Italian Restraunt means the food will be perfect this one will prove you wrong!
The staff is quite dumb and doesn't understand simple terms like vegan!
On repeated instructions that we want fresh basil pesto with no cheese or milk products and very little oil as a base for our whole wheat pasta they made pesto with Parmesan cheese and a whole lot of olive oil!
Get your act together!
Buffet is just like any other 5-star buffet that too with not great variety. Been here 2-3 times and they fail to surprise me. Need to try it one last time and decide on if they are really good.surprise me. Need to try it one last time and decide on if they are really good.
Prego has quite a decent ambiance. This place offers a nice view, good food and great service. They have a very few options for vegetarians, but the quantity and quality of food does not disappoint. I loved the Diavola pizza and bruschetta here, sea food is also yummy. You can have mud pie among many options in the dessert section. Overall a nice place!
