The past few years have been integral for East Delhi’s food scene and with the arrival of some fancy bars and upbeat restaurants, it has become even better. Not many spots in East Delhi are worth driving from the other side of the town for but for ‘Rouge’ we take the pain. This hip trendy lounge frequented by the fashionable crowd of East Delhi is one of the best places to grab a drink on this side of the town. It finds a cozy spot at Hotel Park Plaza, CBD, Shahdara, New Delhi. Head over to it post work with your colleagues.

You may be overdosed on the nightlife of South or Central Delhi so give yourself a taste for something different by going to Rouge. Their bar menu is surprisingly expansive, featuring all kinds of alcohols that would make your tippler heart skip a beat. Be excited about their wide selection of malts, beers, scotch, whisky and wines. Bartender whips up delicious cocktails you should not miss. The apple margarita (tequila, triple sec, apple pucker and aam panna), tamarind & ginger martini (vodka, triple sec, tamarind and fresh ginger) are specially yummy. To marry your drink munch on an array of toothsome appetizers. The chef offers you a pick between, chicken wings in schezwan sauce, khumb churchuri, Thai chicken satay, honey chilli potatoes, amritsari fish, Mexican nachos, herb crusted fried fish fingers and murgh tikka.

One can opt for a mezze platter or kebab platter to share amongst friends. Make room for another drinks before heading back home. Prices are a little over the top but not so much to make you wince. Rouge is a good-looking space. Interiors are trendy, modern and upbeat. Wooden detailing is beautiful and gleams under the soft yellow light. Their lounge space comprises of dual toned furniture, adding to the masculine look of the place. They have added a sleek community table as well. Try to snag the sofa tucked at the corner of the lounge. The vibe is cozy and yet chic. Futuristic ambient lighting only elevates the appearance. Book ahead. Rouge fills up quickly, especially around weekends.
