Saffron is the fine dining Indian restaurant at the Trident Gurgaon. The cuisine is traditional and the spice levels are in check, keeping in view the diverse guest profile the restaurant receives. The chefs at Saffron have researched indigenous cuisines and based their food on traditional recipes. Saffron’s menu focuses mostly on dishes from the North and North Western part of India, although there are some South Indian offerings as well. At Saffron, you can order a truly authentic Kashmiri Yakhni Shorba (a delicate lamb broth with saffron) as well as the fiery Red Laal Maas (lamb braised with onion, garlic and mathania chillies) from Rajasthan.
Our family of five was looking for an Indian food experience to surprise our palate and saffron sure did that. Right from the begining we were flushed with the oppulence of Trident, which is an amazingly beautiful property. Coupled with great interior and amazing food presentation, our dining experince was great. Each and every course of meal kept on surprising us and to top it off, the pan kulfi and bajre ki kheer did its perfect trick. All in all an amazing food experience, must visit with family for sure.
I had gone for a unlimited lunch thali. The place has a very good ambience although Saffron restaurant is small and slightly cramped. The food was flavoursome and all the dishes were served piping hot. The staff was very couteous. An overall good experience. A special mention about the shami kabab, paan icecream and saffron tea.
We Had a great time at Indian restaurant of trident which serves great Indian food with good service. We were welcomed with rose water handwash and then served dahi papdi chaat and soup. The main thaali consisted of one chicken and fish starter along with lamb and chicken main course along with aloo and dal makhni. Everything was very good with the fish tikka being excellent. Desert was Tasmania along with herbal tea. In all a very hearty meal with an Eazy deal of one plus one. Highly recommended to all
Trident Gurgoan is a very Pretty and Royal Property.
It has a very Grand Entrance which leeds a nice lobby.
The lighting is in the form of mashals of mughal architecture . First is the lounge type The Bar next to it is the Saffaron .
Had gone there for my parents anniversary great plush hotel with very Curtis staff.
The veg Platter is a must try its gives a chance to taste all the starters though small in portion but is accompanied with dal .
In the main Course the Shahi Paneer Korma and Veg Sabz Biryaani is a must try
The Restaurant is known for its Lucknowi cusine and non veg lovers have a wide choice.
Must visit thought Slightly on the Expensive side in comparison to restaurants in the same league but then you pay for experience.
I'm not a big fan of Indian food but went here expecting the food to be really good as had heard great reviews about it..
The ambience of the place is great and so is the service..the food somehow isn't as great as you would expect it to be! Also it's very heavy on butter and other condiments which makes you feel very heavy midway of the meal! If you're the kind of person who loves Indian food and specifically with lot of butter and ghee then this maybe the place for you! But this is a definite no no for light eaters!
So where do you go to for your once-in-a-while curry fix? Every hot blooded Indian foodie has at least one good North-Indian eatery in their kitty, which brings them home in style. Where do you go to for a piping hot bowl of spicy creamy curry to dunk your flaky buttery naan in? If you are on lookout for a can’t-beat-that recommendation, then you have finally come to the right place. We will take you to this spectacular dining spot that is tremendously popular in the gastronomy circuit for its mind-blowing curries. Drive down to Trident hotel, Gurgaon this weekend and head over to their curry joyride ‘Saffron’, a fine dining experience that refines this wonderful cuisine. Saffron is Trident’s glorified North-Indian restaurant excelling in traditional recipes handpicked from all over the country and prepared authentically.
Trident in a luxurious glamourous property which extends its sophistication into Saffron. Décor of Saffron is quite eye-catching, with striking dark furnishings giving it a very modern touch. The room is spacious and closely filled with small square formal tables. They have played the décor with tones of orange and black, an unusual combination but a striking one. A cluster of golden pillars are the only indication towards the traditional aspect of the restaurant. One can’t help but be mesmerized by the beauty and elegance of such intense looking décor. The restaurant is a quite expensive one so the clientele is limited and filtered. Mostly you will find affluent families, corporates, in-house guests, tourists and die-hard foodies as their most loyal guests. Live Indian classical music organized by the management does a lot to elevate your dining experience.
If you want to celebrate a special occasion then let them know beforehand. The staff is most helpful and polite. Service is as expected of a five star establishment, smooth and professional. Economy sake, opt for their thali. Not only it will be budget-friendly but it’s lavish as well. Their superb North-Indian menu opens with the starters like, Rajasthani lal boti kebab, dahi ke kebab, pasanda kebab, tandoori paneer tikka, bhuttey aur methi ki seekh, saffron tangdi kebab, hara kebab and patrani macchi. Pick their bohri biryani or a basket of assorted Indian breads to mop up the curries. They prepare a heady range of delicious mouth-watering curries, each one better than the other. For the sweet finish go for the paan ice cream. It’s innovatively refreshing!
