The décor breaks away from the clichéd interiors associated with Indian cuisine restaurants as it translates authentic Indian cuisine into a stylish, contemporary setting with warm and one on one service. On the menu are dishes from North India – recipes from the Mughal courts, the walled city of Delhi, the cuisine of the Nawabs of Lucknow, the pulsating zests of Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh and the scrumptious cuisine of Kashmir. As you begin to wait for your food to arrive a good idea is to dig into the papads and variety of chutneys on the table. For starters, Executive Chef Sandeep Kalra highly recommends the Galouti Kabab on Peshawari Naan, a perfect blend of aromatic and robust spices, done to perfection. Vegetarians too have a sizable choice with Hara Kabab, Tandoori Soy Malai Tikka and would love the Dahi ke kabab, which is homemade yoghurt hung in muslin, spices and rolled as patties, filled with tomato relish. My vote goes all out also for the Shahi Gosht Saffron Biryani; it is just as fine as the spice it is named after. The mixed breads in a basket are a sensible option for variety, and just the thing to wipe the savoury curry gravy off your plates and especially go well with the Lal Maas and Murgh Begum Pasanda. Your meal remains incomplete without a heavenly helping of the dessert offered, try the Gulab Jamun Jalebi and Kulfi!

saffron thali
variety was not as per required... food quality is ok.. dal makhani is gud but non veg is not at all good... actually they serve 2 veg and 2 non veg snacks in thali but snacks also not up to the mark.. acording to hotel they have to make variety in thali and even food taste also should to better...

Happy eating
This is a phenomenal place for a fine dining and you start with an offbeat tasty and welcome appetizer which is coupled with esteemed service and hospitality . Do not forget the crispy hara kebabs , the malai tikka , mutton and dal makhani they are exceptional . Service was stellar with a special mention for shubham who was incredibly pleasant .

Getting into trident , plush surroundings , luxury sittings , awesome service n delectable food. Really enjoyed the lunch there. Amazing food extravaganza
Our family of five was looking for an Indian food experience to surprise our palate and saffron sure did that. Right from the begining we were flushed with the oppulence of Trident, which is an amazingly beautiful property. Coupled with great interior and amazing food presentation, our dining experince was great. Each and every course of meal kept on surprising us and to top it off, the pan kulfi and bajre ki kheer did its perfect trick. All in all an amazing food experience, must visit with family for sure.

Flavoursome Lunch Thali
I had gone for a unlimited lunch thali. The place has a very good ambience although Saffron restaurant is small and slightly cramped. The food was flavoursome and all the dishes were served piping hot. The staff was very couteous. An overall good experience. A special mention about the shami kabab, paan icecream and saffron tea.

Pick their bohri biryani or a basket of assorted Indian breads to mop up the curries. They prepare a heady range of delicious mouth-watering curries, each one better than the other. For the sweet finish go for the paan ice cream. It’s innovatively refreshing!
