In a homely corner market situated in Noida but within striking distance from Ghaziabad, Tawak – meaning cinnamon – is a large, spacious restaurant that is the brainchild of two chefs, one of whom is always around. The décor is simple yet elegant and the ropes with filament bulbs suspended on them make a design statement. There is Indian food (including a Bengali Fish Curry) in deference to the customers and oriental to add cachet to the menu. In Tawak, it is the exemplary service that exceeds everything else: a few others in the stand-alone segment match up.
