A gastro-pub, ‘Teddy Boy’ has an old world charm with exposed red brick walls set off by warm wooden flooring and plush leather couches. The British vibe is accentuated by using vintage British posters, animal head mounts, British flags, drums and strings of Edison bulbs. The menu is an interesting mix of Indian and Continental with some delightful finger food to go with the drinks. 'Classic Cheese Nachos', 'Beetroot Tikki', 'Pav Bhaji Fondu' are a great way to start the meal for vegetarians. 'Cantonese Lemon Chicken', 'Thai Thilli Basil Fish', 'Chicken Shawarma' and 'Teddy Boy Chicken On Fire' are signature non-veg starters. In the mains, the choice is huge with star items like 'The Classic Butter Chicken', 'Kerala Fried Chicken Curry', 'Burmese Chicken Curry', 'Mutton Rogan Josh'. Chef recommends 'Lamb Vindaloo' and 'Chicken Chettinad'. Vegetarians have immense options in Pan Asian and Indian food alike. I loved ‘Pot of Penang Vegetable Curry’ – classy Penang peanut infused vegetable curry with sticky rice. There is a decent choice of Biryanis as well, each style robust with fresh flavours. The option of ordering Indian and Chinese Bento Box is a great idea as it makes for a complete meal. ‘Teddy Boy Special Bento Box’ offers continental dishes with House salad. The Bunta Bar over here is the happening spot with house special cocktails and mocktails served in bunta bottles. 'Masala Cola', 'Chennai Tang', 'Bubbly Paan' are some of the drinks worth trying. Whether you wish to hang out with friends over drinks or have a hearty meal, Teddy Boy does not disappoint, either with its food or service.
