Who doesn’t love cartoons? They were such an important part of our childhood memories. We spent hours glued to the television laughing our heads off watching humorous mishaps happening to our animated friends. Restauranteurs have found a way to include those memories in their spaces, using them to lure the punters reminding them of the time gone by. Out of all those cartoons Addams Family stood out for its scary gothic theme and monster-infested stories. A pub in Sector 29, Gurgaon has based its joint on Addams Family theme, naming it ‘The Addams House’, evoking all those afternoons filled with reruns of this crazy monster-loving family. The pub is a huge favourite of the local bar-hoppers who adore the dark mysterious vibe of the place. The spot is perfect for a booze fest or a small get-together with friends.

Kickstart the evening with few of their ‘bhoot’ cocktails. The haunting theme is prevalent throughout the menu which targets American and Italian cuisine through an extensive range of appetizers and mains. Being a pub special attention is paid to the starters and they even do a molecular section so you can try the modern gastronomy with their drinks. Munch onto, chick in balls, roasted stuffed fungi duplex, cheesy jalapeno cigar rolls, piri-piri chicken satay, smoked soy galauti kebab, wasabi shrimp shooters, cheesy chicken bruschetta, coriander fish with fester’s dip, achaari broccoli bites, grandma’s favourite fish n chips and smoked mutton galouti. If part of a large group, opt for the platters. Main course entails, American P&P burger, pizza nirvana, sushi rolls, pasta au gratin, matar mushroom, Addams Indian lamb chops, grilled spinach & cottage cheese steak, butter chicken and spicy chicken tikka tacos.

For a sweet finish try their gul-di-oxide which is a rendition of gulab jamun & gulkand mousse. They even do hazelnut royal crackle, Nutella & walnut brownie and assorted ice cream sundae. Food is colourful and styled nicely. As far as the décor is concerned be ready to be flooded by memories of the famous 90’s sitcom, Addams Family. The entire theme of The Addams House revolves around the Addams Family and is visible through the murals, candles, lanterns and 3D ghost poster walls. The lighting is kept dim so enhance the mysterious vibe of the place. Sit in their terrace area for a good time. The Addams House is not too expensive.
