A new concept launched by The World Art Dining Group, The Brewhouse is a lounge cum bar, which is part of a three-story establishment. The colourful upholstery, patterned tables and walls adorned with bumper stickers come together like a jigsaw puzzle to create a very eclectic and playful vibe. The spotlights, exposed ducting and wall art add to the ambience. The bar offers some interesting concoctions including old favourites and shots. The vodka chuskis, which are flavoured ice lollies with alcohol, is a must-try. The basil and pomegranate martini has very balanced flavours with the flavour of basil shining through. The apple cinnamon mojito can also be tried. For the hard drinkers, the bar offers premium spirits at reasonable prices. In spite of being a bar, they serve full meals as well and have a multi cuisine menu. If looking for something more filling, the Nargisi koftas, in flavourful gravy, along with Kashmiri rogan josh, with tender lamb pieces cooked with the perfect blend of spices, and the dal-e-frontier are the top picks.

Yesterday, (11 Aug 2016) in the early evening hours it was raining at Gurgaon. The salubrious climate gave me a high and I opted to be in BrewHouse for some time. I spent some time doing nothing there – felt completely relaxed and meditative for the first 15 minutes – after moving onto trying some Veg Puffs with Cappuccino. (Staying at Fortune Select Excalibur, Gurgaon from 09 to 13 Aug 2016). BrewHouse is located at the lobby level. Brand Master Chef Inder Dev was in a meeting, I was told when I requested Dilbagh Singh (Assistant Manager, BrewHouse) whether I could meet Chef Inder Dev. Within minutes Chef Chirag Sharma chipped in from nowhere. He suggested that I should try something more. He chose Dahi kebab Chat (innovative chat prepared with Dahi Kebab and topped up with mix of chutneys and Sev). I readily agreed. I was not disappointed at all - It was simply superb. Chef Chirag could read my expressions and suggested one more inventive snack for me – Tandoori Dim sum. (Handmade Veg Dim sum, steamed- marinated- then cooked in a tandoor). This is perhaps the most bizarre Indo –Chinese innovation I would have come across - hats off to the creativity of the Chefs behind this concept. I enjoyed this snack too – smoky, soft and surprising! I liked the way Perry Perry infused popcorn is made and served in front of the guests. I was really inspired by the ambience - by the musical performance - and by the fusion food. The menu here is really a well-crafted one. Tip to travellers: This eatery is known for the beer infused delicacies – don’t miss trying them. Ashish served me. I was delighted to observe his disciplined demeanour. He is a body builder. He has been the winner in the district level fitness competition held at Gurgaon Gymkhana Club recently. No wonder, he is so disciplined. I was pleased to the hilt. My thanks to Stewards Manish and Saurabh who were very so friendly. My evening time was very well spent. Next time I will try fusion food- which is the unique selling proposition of this place. See the picture on the menu. Thanks to Brand Master Chef Inder Dev, whose brainchild, the beer infused delicacies are. I am a teetotaller – but BrewHouse inspired me with its vitality and buzz.
The place still hasnt got their license for serving fresh brew. This is probably the first pub that I saw allowed kids some of them 4-5 year olds. The music wasnt that great. It was more like full family disco. We just had 1 drink and left.
Bar hoppers are constantly on the lookout for new places to chill out in and are always up for something new, as long as it’s exciting and hip. Punjabi Bagh has come up on the party people’s radar for being an upcoming trendy spot filled with cool new pubs and spectacular lounges with a happening vibe. A somewhat fresh addition to this trendy vicinity is a colourful little lounge called ‘The Brewhouse’, right up the North West Avenue on Club Road. Judging by the busy parking lot, you can guess the popularity of the place that becomes a hopping destination for party as the evening falls. Combined with perky live music and a smashing bar crammed with labels from all over the globe, The Brewhouse comes across as lively and trendy.
It’s wise to kick start the evening with couple of heady shots and then move onto their house concoctions that will leave you with a long lasting buzz. Try the golguppa tray that offers diners with fun golguppa shots as a start or stick to some heavy stuff like scotch, beer, wine or vodka. Accompany the drinks with a range of delicious appetizers such as, Thai chicken satay, dahi makhmali kebab, ginger chicken, shabnami khumb mozzarella, peeli mirch ka fish tikka, Szechuan prawns, jalapeno potatoes, bar be que chicken sausages and nizami shammi kebab. They have some good combos going on in main course section but if you like more control over your meal then stick to a la carte. Enjoy, subz ki dum biryani, hakka noodles, fish n chips, kasoori kadhai paneer, Kashmiri rogan josh, breaded Maggie’s chicken and some fab Italian fare.
Now their dessert menu is classic with flashes of innovation to surprise you. Smack on rasmali, shahi tukda butter caramel, Belgian chocolate fudge brownie and kahlua tiramisu. Ambience wise, The Brewhouse attracts you with vibrant bright colours used in its furnishings. Furniture is casual and eye-catching setting off well against the neutral coloured walls. With flashy LED lights washing the entire room in technicolour, the mood becomes uplifting and lively pretty quickly. The lights does a lot to improve the general vibe of the place. Pep up your evening with a hookah or groove onto some peppy live beats to improve your mood. The ambience is fun, casual, youthful and pulsating. The Brewhouse is on the affordable side so relax!
