A pan Asian restaurant with unique design and delicious food Monk has gained popularity for its sticky rice. The minimalistic design that allows you to see the whole mall yet maintaining your privacy, has grabbed attention. You can often see customers lining up at lunch or dinner hours waiting for their turn to sample great food. The Asian cuisine is all about that fine balance and the chef at the Monk has maintained that balance with ease. The interiors of the restaurant is smart and edgy but casual. The easy laid back attitude works here as it is obvious from their growing reputation. Come with friends or family to savour Chinese especially their signature sticky rice.

Commence the pan Asian tour by starting with mini spring rolls, honey chilli sliced lamb, crispy lotus stem, wok fried Singaporean tofu, calamari with red chilli, Mongolian chicken, sautéed prawns, thai style crispy vegetables, tossed prawns in coconut milk and their specialty butter prawns in salty egg sauce. The crystal and steamed dim sums follow the appetizers. Hot bowl of soup with noodles are widely favourite. Curry laksa, udon noodle soup, lemon coriander soups will make a lovely appetizer too. Noodle bowl comes with noodles with chucks of meat/vegetables in a aromatic sauce. The bowl serves well if you want a meal in a rush. Mains consists of sticky or steamed rice with your favourite curry. Salmon in penang curry, sliced fish with spicy XO sauce, mixed vegetables in mastaman curry or black bean sauce and chicken mince with basil, oyster & garlic sauce.

This fantastic a menu deserves a perfect sweet ending. The Monk doesn’t disappoint you with its sweet offerings. Red wine poached pears, chocolate & walnut nems, white sesame balls with hazelnut chocolate, five spice chocolate mousse and coconut caramel ice cream. The service is attentive so your meal experience will be smooth. The manager will be most happy to help you in any way. The restaurant being in a mall is on the expensive side. All over the visit to Monk will surprise you with its superior food and contemporary ambience. If the pan Asian is the way you want to go then The Monk is your safest bet.
