Very well appointed, rather like a veranda in your friend’s house, with a seemingly casual mix of comfortable sofas and dining chairs, a few palm trees add verisimilitude to the atmosphere of tropical luxury. Every last detail has been thought out, down to the bric-a-brac in the glass-fronted cupboards that give cheer to the décor. Do checkout their more than adequate buffet − most of the lunchtime guests especially visit for the high quality of food here, along with the attention paid to vegetarian tastes. Service is famously friendly.
Faridabad is a developing society as far as restaurants are concerned. There are only handful of places that comes recommended by food bloggers and culinary experts. But Park Plaza’s all day dining operation ‘Veranda’ has earned quite a bit of reviews for its gastronomy delights. The ambience of Veranda is classy and chic. The designer does not shy away from colours which can be seen in solid coloured sofas and chairs. They utilise the wide spaces well by creating a semi private seating area besides the regular dining tables. You will also like the airy atmosphere of the room enhanced by high ceilings and flood of natural sunlight. Tall date trees brings the outdoor in, softening the formal look of the room. Veranda gets its fair share of customers through in house guests and local residents. To make your meal a memorable one the staff will help you throughout. They are cordial and efficient towards the patrons.
As Veranda gets customers of all age groups and nationality, the restaurant has kept in mind to create a multi cuisine menu suitable for all. Menu is lengthy and is divided into three sections. A la carte, midnight menu and bar menu. To kick start the meal you can choose between kaffir lime spring rolls, surkh lal paneer tikka, honey chilli potato, fish sticks, chicken 65, kastoori kebab, garlic butter prawn, Bhatti ka murg, mezze platter and wok tossed bean curd. Stick to your diet with rustic greek salad, hot & sour soup, tom yum soup and home style Caesar salad. Sandwiches, burgers, wraps and pasta is ideal for an after meeting bite. The mains selection consists of grilled chicken steak, stir fried prawns in XO sauce, kadhai paneer, rajma chawal, home style fish curry, chilly parmesan crusted basa and murg tikka makhani.
Veranda dedicates one whole page to the dessert section. Rasmalai, baked cheesecake, kulfi, gulab jamun, tiramisu, basil and brownie dust brulee and fresh fruit selection. Veranda hosts families, business associates and gangs of friends stopping for a quick bite after party. The restaurant also has an atrium where you can enjoy your meal. The bar menu holds every kind of booze to accompany your meal. Veranda is not very expensive so you can stopover for a nice dinner with friends or family without worrying about the budget. The menu is fab and the ambience helps things along.
