Wokamama is like finding a silver lining in a dark cloud. Dark cloud being the location and the silver lining being the restaurant. Service like valet parking and lift to transport you in a bustling market of DLF Phase-3, Gurgaon seems unreal but here it is. A pan Asian restaurant with outdoor sitting area Wokamama is a discovery. The indoor restaurant is pretty big and spacious lined with comfortable chairs. The restaurant has an amazing capacity to hold parties and large groups which makes it an idyllic place to bring friends or family. To celebrate an important event with pan Asian cuisine is always a good idea because pan Asian has become the nationâ€™s comfort food. There is no heartbreak that a bowl of fried rice and chilli chicken canâ€™t heal. Though indoor sitting area is good and formal but it is the rooftop area which wins accolades. Casual and cosy dotted with fragrant frangipani plants the place lights up in evening with lanterns. The crowd loves to sit outside under stars munching on hot noodle soup.

The menu is vast and covers Thai, Burmese, Chinese, Japanese and Indonesian cuisines bringing you the best of each region. Pages divide themselves into old and new favourites. In appetizers start with holy basil thai fish finger, spring rolls, golden fried prawns, salt and pepper squid/water chestnuts/ crabmeat/ chicken/ lobster/vegetable. Dim sums and Sui mais have their own long page. Makizushi, nigrizushi, sushi rolls fall under sushi section. Ebi-prawn tempura and sea bass tempura are worth trying. If you want something to go with your drink then choose satays or yakitori. Nothing beats a bowl of Asian soup. Reminds of old days. Go for hot and sour if you want to go reminiscing. Japanese Teppanyaki will not disappoint you either. In mains chicken, prawn, seafood, vegetables, duck, lamb and pork are simmered in various sauces. Choose your favourite.
