Once upon a time, this restaurant, high up in the Lalit, used to be the Blue Elephant, a branch of the Belgian chain and one of India's first Thai restaurants. Then the Lalit moved its Chinese restaurant up to occupy the space and it has had no cause to regret that decision. Though much of the Lalit's food is now world class, this restaurant is slightly reminiscent of the old days with chefs who have been here for 15 years. But, what do you know? It works! The restaurant makes money.

This restaurant was earlier India’s first Thai restaurant but The Lalit shifted its Chinese restaurant to its place and has had no reason to regret its decision. The restaurant has gained popularity with gastronomes looking for comfort Chinese food in great ambience. ‘Woks’ is located on the top of The Lalit hotel basking in the prime location of Connaught place, New Delhi. The customers invade the restaurant filling it up at dinner time occupying the already busy tables. Many go for delectable food but there are fair percentage who show up for the view. Overlooking the beautiful architecture of Lutyen’s Delhi the restaurant offers the patrons clear unbarred view of the city. The restaurant itself is wonderfully decorated with Chinese effigies and a small bridge transporting you to the sitting area. There is much to love about Woks. Room is dimly lit pleasing the intimacy seeking couples and families. Staff is pleasant and friendly treating you with utmost respect.
