Feast Like A King At These Pocket-Friendly Restaurants

Indian cuisine is one of the most diverse and exquisite cuisines of the world. The use of spices and the regional influences in terms of flavours and ingredients, brings forward a wide range of distinctive cuisines from different parts of the country. Culture, religion and traditions also create an impact on them.

In Dubai, there is huge community of Indians residing. This is one of the reasons the city celebrates and cherishes this cuisine. Be it North Indian, South Indian or a combination of cuisines from different regions – Dubai has many Indian restaurants serving Indian food. Here is a quick list of pocket friendly, mid-range Indian restaurants-

Some dishes have a fusion touch such as the santri murg chaat and tandoori basil prawns. The desserts are superb as well. The gulab e gulkand is a hot gulab jamun stuffed with gulkand, which melts in the mouth and is not to be missed.

Apart from this, the chicken lasooni tikka is a splendid delight. For vegetarians, they offer a huge variety of curries such as the paneer dhaniya adriki, which is very flavourful. In desserts, do not miss kheer kesari.

The paneer tikka has a flavourful marination and is cooked to perfection. Chicken balti gravy tastes great with butter naan. The dessert menu is very small but the ghia gajar ki kheer, with a hint of cardamom flavour is delicious.

Saleem’s Of Delhi – The name itself gives a glimpse of the royal touch that you will find in this restaurant. The walls have beautiful paintings inspired by the Mughal era and the food is cooked in spices imported from India. The badshahi kalmi kebab is a delightful preparation with chicken thigh. The delectable bhatti ka murg consists of special bhatti masalas, and is finished with freshly squeezed lemon juice.

Indian Summer – Karama is a hub for many Indian restaurants and Indian Summer is one of them, with contemporary, spacious and intricate interiors. The food is very authentic and the variety of dishes on the menu is huge. The non-vegetarian grill platter and the Amritsari fish are a must-have here.
