As winter is slowly setting in, the hotels and restaurants in Hyderabad are gearing up for the year-end festivities. With activities like cake mixing typically taking place this month, the number of food promotions usually dwindle. Here is a look at four of these food festivals, which are worth giving a try.
By The Shore, Seafood and More at Oakleaf, Oakwood Residence Kapil Hyderabad
The a-la-carte promotion at Oakleaf restaurant showcases the cuisine of the Western Coast from Mumbai through to Mangalore.
A special menu has fish delicacies such as Bombil (Bombay Duck) Bhaji, Anjal (King Fish) Fry, and Pomfret Curry. Chicken Sukka from Mangalore, Prawn Balchao from Goa, Kundapuri Lamb from Karwar are some other dishes of note. The vegetarians also have enough on their plates with Thalipeeth, Kaju Chi Amti and Bharli Vangi. The festival is on till 15th November.
NH2 Trail at Okra, The Marriott, Hyderabad
The NH2 Food festival starts from 14th November at Okra, The Marriott Hyderabad. Elaborate counters trace the food journey through this National Highway, which originates from Delhi, and passes through UP and Bihar to Kolkata.
While the street food of Delhi and Kolkata have multiple counters under separate booths, the stalls from Agra, Mathura and Dhanbad also merit attention.
Old Delhi Stall
Feast on the Chicken Chaap from Kolkata, Dehati Chicken from Bihar, Bedmi Poori from Agra as well as Chhole Kulche or Butter Chicken from Delhi.
The Big Turkey Sale at The Living Room, Park Hyatt
A wide range of marinated and freshly roasted meat are available in this promotion at The Living Room from 9th to 22nd November, Apart from Stuffed or Roasted Turkey, dishes like Lamb Leg Roast and Chicken Roulade are also available.
The food festival will present cuisines from the 7 states of North-Eastern India. On from 23rd to 25th November at Golconda Pavilion, as part of the lunch and dinner buffet, it gives the food lovers a chance to explore authentic and uncommon dishes from this part of India.
