PC: (Sri Lankan Lamb Broth at Indigo Delicatessan)

The palate constantly seeks new and exciting flavours. New menus are a great way to treat one’s taste buds to these. Mumbai restaurants are regularly striving to offer excitement to the discerning gourmand today. Menus are reinvented and revamped by chefs, with a view to injecting a freshness and avoiding monotony. This season, several fresh menus await diners with several new offerings. My top 5 picks.

Indigo Delicatessen, Andheri West, Western Suburbs

With a special focus on global dishes, inspired by local flavours and ingredients, Mumbaikars can now gorge on Bombay Duck Croquettes, a dish on the new menu, recently launched across outlets, to commemorate the 14th anniversary of Indigo Deli. Good ol’ Deli Classics, are around too. Asian Lentil Cake - Pan-Seared Cake of Sprouted Lentils served on a bed of Soba Noodle with Black-Bean Miso, Hearty Bowl of Kung-Pao Chicken and Jasmine Rice, are other new entrants.
