A 24-hour diner in the heart of Panjim, Aunty Maria is that aunt who everyone loves to head over too. Come during the wee hours of the morning and one will find the tables crowded, voices elevated in fun and laughter. There were many ‘Aunty Maria's’ during the 60s in Goa, who baked and took care of one's gastronomic needs, any time of the day or night with 'coffee and bites'. The ambience is warm and not premeditated; the display cases showcase fresh pieces of bread, cakes, chocolates and cookies along with a variety of teas, coffees and shakes. The pizzas and burgers are wholesome and juicy. The 'Filet O Fish Burger' is a crowd favourite. Go local with the crumb-fried 'Goan Mutton Chop'. It is a dessert haven where one can feast their senses on the 'Black Forest', Truffle', 'Choco-Walnut' and the works. The counters are filled with tiramisu, cookies, muffins, doughnuts, cheesecake etc. The list is never-ending. Her beverage counter gets 'energised' even in the wee hours of the morning from the coffee bar, dark roast Arabica, espresso, steaming hot cappuccinos, hot chocolate served in a kettle. A great place to leave from utterly satisfied.
