In the heart of the crossroads of the Assagao-Anjuna ‘tinto’ (marketplace) lays a brick a mortar establishment imbibing the essence of a quintessential smokehouse. As rustic as the fare served this ode of love and all things smoked in run by Chef Arjun Sikdar who brings the flavors of the good ol’ West to the streets of Goa. Touted as Goa’s first smokehouse the long expanse has a fun feel to it as one enters. The appetizers lie in the 'Cuebebarred Cheesy Fries' and 'Garlic Cheese Toasties' with their 'Smoked Beetroot Salad' on a base of mixed greens, topped with goat/feta cheese. The portions are sizeable, so order wisely. 'Bitter is Better', a gin-based cocktail with white wine, tonic and bitter lemon laced with lime juice goes soothingly well the '10-hour Smoked Pork Shoulder Sandwich'. Succulent would be an understatement. The meat is cured and packs the hickory trails in every bite. The 'Cuebebar Slider Platter' is a great idea to allow you to sample a choice of the menu via 4 or 6 sliders with handmade potato chips for sides. A round of darts near the bar as one order the mains. Post another round of drinks one could sign off the evening with a 'Grilled Caramel Pineapple with Vanilla Ice Cream' sot satiate any sweet tooth cravings.
