The swiftly growing horde of hotels also welcomes the rapidly increasing number of all-day dining restaurants usually tucked at every hotel lobby. While in Goa, these 24-hour restaurants are a blessing for tourists who waltz in and out of the hotels at odd hours often peckish. Although Goa is simply swarming with 24-hour restaurants, we head for our favorite, ‘Kava’. The laid-back elegance of Kava makes for a great destination for those itching to relax and enjoy a lavish meal in the company of family and friends. Kava is one of the only 24-hour restaurants in India to offer shisha to it’s diners. This facility is exclusive to Goa, keeping true to the local party culture. The restaurant is located at Survey no. 11/14, Plot B,C & E, Simvaddo, Anjuna, Bardez.

Much of the local food culture can be seen influencing the menu of Kava. You will find the menu a delightful mix of international cuisines with heavy smattering of traditional Goan cuisine. Seafood is predominant, a bonus for gourmets. Kava is open 24X7, starting it’s day quite early catering to breakfast-seekers. Grab a hearty breakfast before trotting down to the beach for a splash. Opt for a chilled beer to start your evening meal. Whet your appetite with a plethora of nibbles like, gilafi seekh kebab, pepper beef, peri peri prawns, fresh tomato & burrata salad, chicken cafreal, Bhatti da murgh and Goan chorizo with poi bread. Move on to the mains next with a selection entailing, Kung pao lamb, spaghetti aglio olio, butter chicken, grilled chicken breast, kadai paneer, Thai curry with jasmine rice, Goan fish curry and Oriental vegetables in soy ginger sauce.

The Goan influence extends to the dessert section as well through regional sweet dishes like, bebinca and alle belle. You will even find gulab jamun, bruni rolls and chef’s sundae in the mix. A compact around the clock menu keeps the nocturnal crowd happy. Kids get their own special menu. The atmosphere of Kava is quite casual and laid-back, fitting with the general vibe of Goa.
